52 Things I Love About You

I made this for my boyfriend. It’s the most perfect gift for Valentine’s, Birthday, Anniversary, or just because…

I created a template using Adobe Illustrator, measured the size of the card and filled in the type within. Once printed on card stock, I cut out each square by hand. I glued them to the cards using a thin layer of basic mod-podge, but you could also use rubber cement for a faster drying time.

A few people have been asking if I hand wrote the sayings. I’ve decided to provide a link to the font I used, it’s called Mari & David

I recently was made aware of an original source to this project, I in no way ever took full credit for coming up with the idea myself, I just wanted to share what I made for my boyfriend. Details on how to make this craft can be found here: http://www.52reasonsiloveyou.com/

Wear Miniature This Year

I’ve been loving novelty vintage inspired items lately. It’s purely the cute factor and a little bit of nostalgia that makes me happy. I purchased a miniature fortune cookie necklace by BIKO at the Vancouver One of a Kind show this weekend, and i’m in love with it! Here’s a collection of the other miniature necklaces i’ve come across recently, most can be found on ETSY.

The Locket

For my birthday my wonderful boyfriend made me a beautiful necklace from a few pieces he found at the i found gallery on Main street.

Vintage watch-face necklace:

Immediately I thought, oh wow I NEED to go to this place! So a week later, we went and I found the most amazing vintage book style locket, made from brass.

Then I picked out some vintage chain from their giant collections.

The result ended in this beautiful necklace.
